Hawai'i Bowl To Be Showcased On Christmas Eve

HONOLULU – The 2015 edition of the Hawai'i Bowl will be played on Thursday, Dec. 24, on Hawaiian Airlines Field at Aloha Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN and played on Christmas Eve for the eleventh time. Kick-off is 8 p.m. ET (3:00 p.m. HT).

In its 14th year, the bowl will pit a team from the American Athletic Conference against a team from the Mountain West or BYU. BYU – an independent program – will play in either the Hawai'i Bowl or the Las Vegas Bowl in 2015, if bowl eligible. Whichever game the Cougars do not participate in this season, BYU will be a part of in 2019.

"The Hawai'i Bowl and Christmas Eve go together like fish and poi," said Daryl Garvin, Hawai'i Bowl executive director. "With temperatures dropping across much of the country, ESPN showcases Hawai'i's warmth – both in terms of weather and spirit – to millions of viewers." | More |
